With the support of the United States Embassy in Brazil, the Casa Thomas Jefferson presents Early Childhood Education teachers with a project specially designed for infants, joining Literature and the Maker Culture together.
In order for that to happen, we have brought the Thomas Maker multidisciplinary team together with Ler Conecta team to create Aperte o PLAY, a mix of hands-on instruction, amusement, challenges, stories, social-emotional skills, and a lot of fun.
Having stories as a starting point, we invite the children to stretch their readings into immersive learning experiences that stimulate creative thinking. This is the combination of Maker Education and stretch readings, which you will very soon learn about!
8 Fables, versions in Portuguese and in English;
24 illustrated scenes (three for each fable) created to assist the storytelling
8 suggested lesson plans (one for each fable), containing more than 70 activities specially designed for children between 4 and 6 years old;
8 Audiobooks containing narrated and dubbed versions of the fables, both in English and in Portuguese;
6 Podcasts with knowledge pills about the essential concepts that form the basis of project Aperte o PLAY, with specialized educators;;
1 E-book about the complete project, with guiding texts, references, and all the material prepared for the teachers.
▶ And, of course, loads of fun! Bracause we believe that education can and has to be fun! Are you ready to start?
